Building Process

Before you make any financial investment, we will run through your project with you and give you an educated estimate. We will use the information you give us and give consideration to the type of project it is, what the current square metre rates are within the industry, and our experience with past projects to deliver you the best estimate we can. This should give you an idea of the feasibility of your project – is it within your budget?
-
Establishing the feasibility and budget of your project from the start can really help to save a lot of time and money in the subsequent steps. We have Building Designers and Structural Engineers that we work closely with who will bring your ideas to life. Offering design and costing advice throughout the process to ensure you get the home you want within your budget.
-
Armed with the information we now have from the previous steps, we now work to produce a detailed construction proposal. We obtain trade and supplier quotes specific to your project and help you make selections for your finishes and fixtures. The collection and presentation of this information is an extremely time intensive process and we charge a nominal fee for this service dependant on the size and complexity of the project. But once completed it gives everyone a clear understanding of what’s involved in the project, how much it will cost, and what potential changes need to be made before going to contract.
-
Once a construction price is agreed on and you are completely comfortable with the project scope quoted, a construction contract can be signed. This allows for the mandatory levies and insurances to be paid and Building Approval can be applied for. We’ll guide you through this process so it’s not stressful.
-
This is the fun part where your project is brought to life. We remain in regular contact with you throughout this period with weekly site meetings if requested. This ensures we can keep you up to date with what’s happening, and you also have the opportunity to ask any questions.
-
Once your project is complete, we conduct a job handover. Showing you through your new home or renovation and giving you the opportunity to express any concerns or point out any minor defects that you wish to be rectified. As part of our build contract we offer a 12 month defects liability and a 7 year structural warranty in accordance with State regulations.
